The mountainous vale positioned to the north of Hunza River in Gilgit Baltistan is known as Hunza Valley the world-famous Hunza vale is heaven for excursionists. The capital of Hunza is Karimabad ( Baltit), It's girdled by three beautiful peaks Rakaposhi, Diran, and Ultra. 

Hunza Valley is girdled by some of the high peaks videlicet Rakaposhi, Hunza Peak, Darmyani Peak, Ghenta Sar, Ultra Sar, Bojahagur Duanasir, and Lady Cutlet Peak.

People of Hunza


The people of Hunza are known for their benevolence and hospitality. Hunza Vally is notorious for its beauty and high-top hills. Different languages are spoken in this valley similar to Wakhi, Shina, and Burushaski. 

The knowledge rate of Hunza vale is possibly high and it's nearly ninety-five percent. Hunza vale is a part model for the entire Pakistan as it has a high knowledge rate and academy registration figure. Nearly every child is educated in a high academy position. 


Hunza River


The Hunza occurs at the convergence of two gutters the Khunjerab, which from the Khunjerabpas comes in the northeast, and the Khunjerab from the southeast. From this point flows Hunza a kilometer long and 90 to the south by Gojal, the loftiest part of Hunza valley vineyards and fields girdled by high mountains including the peaks Rakaposhi and Ultra.


Attabad Lake


Attabad Lake, Gojal, also known as Gojal Lake, is a lake in the Gojal vale of northern Pakistan created in January 2010 by a landslide levee.

Queen Victoria Monument, Karimabad, Hunza
The Queen Victoria monument at the top of the gemstone face behind Karimabad can be reached in an hour from Baltit.

Hopar Glacier


Hopar Valley is a cluster of townlets around a natural coliseum at a bend of Bualtar glacier. Contrary to Hopar the white Bualtar is joined by the Barpu glacier. This is a base camp for journeys into the high, glacier-draped peaks called the Hispar Muztagh. 

This valley is full of natural coffers and natural beauty but ignorance of government and original politicians add to its backwardness. The 12 km length of Hopar glacier you can actually hear it moan while standing at its side since it's the fastest moving glacier in Pakistan.

Altit Fort

In Hunza, there are two old castles, Altit and Baltit. In the Fort of Altit, there is an Altit stronghold. This Fort is about 3 km from Karimabad. Altit stronghold is about 800 times old and it was the first hearthstone of the Mir of Hunza’s now this stronghold is under renovation. one and a half km walk to the east takes you to the beautiful Fort of Altit.
At the entry point of Altit, there's a beautiful theater of white apricots which is also known for its taste.




Baltit stronghold

Located at the top of a sizeable rocky theater Baltit stronghold is about a 3 km jeep drive from Karimabad. it is erected at the top of Karimabad the defense was founded some seven hundred times ago.

Rakaposhi

It's a mountain in a Karakorum mountain range positioned in a Nagar vale and is fluently visible from karimabad and girding areas of karimabad. It is the 27th loftiest peak in the world. Rakaposhi means “shining wall” or “snow-covered” its steep ice-covered peak towering above barren escarpments and sundecks. Domani is another name for Rakhaposhi which means “mama of mist”. 

The first quick look that you can enjoy is from an area called zero point which is right on Karakorum Trace where you get a magnified view of the peak, with glacier-fed aqueducts running down. It is ranked as 12th loftiest in Pakistan but it's further popular for its beauty as compared to its rank.

Khunjerab pass
• In the Karakorum roadways, there's a high mountain pass known as Khunjerab Pass, the loftiest point at the Karakorum with 4730 measures peak.
• It's so fascinating that the first regard at it arouses magnet
• It's allowed to be the loftiest metaled border crossing.
• From December to April the pass is frequently covered by snow due to the stormy season, in this season slush sliding is common so the pass remains closed for all vehicles other than exchanges.

Traveling
still, you can go by air as well as by road, if you want to visit Hunza. However, you can reserve your ticket from PIA because only PIA operates daily 2 breakouts to Gilgit, one at 645 a.m. and another at 945 a.m, If you choose to go by air also nearest field is Gilgit.
still, also from Chilaas to Gilgit, it's an 8- 9 hour drive, If you want to travel by road also you can go by Bisham Road which is a 12- 14 hour drive from Islamabad. From then it takes 3 hours to reach Hunza
If you go by air do not travel in thunderstorm season because there's a lower chance of getting a flight due to bad rainfall. Thunderstorm season is from July to September.


Sost- Hunza valley

Sost is a city present in Gojal vale of Hunza quarter, Gilgit- Baltistan, Pakistan. It's the last city inside Pakistan on the Karakoram trace. It's an important city in which the customs and immigration department is present. It's also important for all weight and passenger transport because businesses crossing the Pakistan- demitasse border pass through this city. 

The border between Pakistan and Demitasse is present at Khunjerab, the loftiest border on Earth. In Sost, dry harborage is present and goods that come from the Chinese regions of Kashgar and Sinkiyang get custom-made concurrence and are transported to the marketable requests of Pakistan. 

This city is connected to municipalities like Karimabad, Gilgit, and Chilaas in the south of the Pakistani region and is connected to municipalities like Tashkurgan, Upal, and Kashgar in the north of the Chinese region.
For accommodation purposes, PTDC motel is placed then and several other small hospices are also available.
For transport, the Northern Areas Transport Pot (NATCO) is present which connects Islamabad to Sost. Transport installation is also present between Sost and the Chinese megacity Tashkurgan, and machine service also started between Kashgar and Sost in 2006. The loftiest border on earth between Pakistan and Demitasse is open only between May and October. During downtime, roads get blocked by snow.

Shimshal

Shimshal is a village present in the Hunza-Nagar quarter of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. It lies at a height of 3100m above ocean position and is the loftiest agreement in the Hunza vale. It's a skirting that connects demitasse with Pakistan. Shimshal is comprised of 3800 square kilometers; there are nearly 2000 occupants with an aggregate of 240 homes.
Shimshal has a hydroelectricity base known as Over sluice, which gives electricity for five months when water is not firmed from June to October. Non-availability of electricity is a big problem for the residents of Shimshal for the past seven months. 

They use different coffers like kerosene oil painting, and wood and gas cylinders as volition.
The village has been inapproachable since 2003 when a new road was constructed from Karakoram trace at Passu. This on-metallic road was started in 1985 and completed in 2003 and now it takes a maximum of 3 hours to Shimshal from Passu.



Tourism in Shimshal

Shimshal has its largest adventure area in the Hunza Valley. Numerous sightseer points are present in this village.
Mountains like Destaghil Sar(,885 m), Shimshal White Horn(,303 m) Minglik Sar(,150 m) and Yazghail Sar( 6000m) have been catching the eyeballs of excursionists for so numerous long time.
